Daytona Beach, FL - The state has announced that it will not prosecute the New Smyrna Beach man who allegedly stabbed a tourist after making a lewd comment about his daughter.
Surveillance video shows that the tourist, 35-year-old Steven Worthington, confronted 33-year-old John Debow after he said "nice ass" to Worthington's daughter. Worthington shoved Debow then after grabbing him a second time, the New Smyrna Beach man pulled out a knife and cut Worthington's arm before falling on his own knife.
Worthington acknowledged that this is a legal setback because Debow could argue self-defense, but the 35-year-old said he doesn't regret defending his daughter.
