Main Supplier For Major Pill Ring Arrested After Multi-County Chase

Volusia County, FL - The main supplier for a major prescription pill ring busted by the Volusia Bureau of Investigation earlier this year was arrested on Friday.

28-year-old Jason Paul Ashe was arrested in Winter Springs by the U.S. Marshals Florida Caribbean Fugitive Task Force – Central Florida after months of investigation. Before he was arrested he tried to flee from members of the Task Force. Agents followed him from Seminole County to Polk County and back again as he tried to escape, driving recklessly in a high-performance vehicle. He was caught after he bailed out of the vehicle and tried to get away on foot. When he was arrested agents found cocaine, prescription pills, and marijuana on him.

Ashe was wanted by VBI on several charges including conspiracy to traffic in Oxycodone, conspiracy to traffic in Hydromorphone, and trafficing in Oxycodone. His total bond on those VBI charges is $1,152,500. When he was arrested he also had a warrant out of Seminole County for fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement, with a bond of $8,500.

VCSO, the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and the Orlando Police Department were all part of the USMS Task Force and were all involved in Friday's arrest.
