Main Street Bridge In Daytona To Close Temporarily To Allow For Construction

Daytona Beach, FL – The Main Street Bridge in Daytona Beach will be closed to traffic on Tuesday to accommodate the installation of fender pilings underneath the bridge.

According to a news release from Volusia County, the bridge will be closed to vehicular, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic from 8 AM to 5 PM on Tuesday, December 12. The bridge will be left in the open position to accommodate the pile driving and to allow marine traffic to pass under the bridge.

According to Volusia County officials, there will be detour signs and message boards re-routing traffic to the Seabreeze Blvd. Bridge.
