Oak Hill, FL – A lightning strike caused a fire at an Oak Hill home on Saturday.
When the owner of the home on Maytown Road heard a loud noise and saw the roof on fire, he tried to use a garden hose to put the fire out. When he was not able to extinguish the flames, he called 911 and around 20 firefighters from several local stations came to help.
Most of his home was destroyed except for a few personal items, but the home is insured.
