New Smyrna Beach, FL - Expect a new look at the library in New Smyrna Beach when the new revolving door swings open for the first time.

The New Smyrna Beach Regional Library will be closed for renovations from March 21 through April 10.

When all the work is done, visitors can expect to see new flooring, newly painted walls, and a revolving door at the front designed to improve temperature and humidity control. According to Pat Kuehn, Community Information Specialist for Volusia County, the county has "installed revolving doors in several other libraries," and they helped reduce electrical costs.

Patrons are encouraged to use the libraries in Edgewater and Port Orange until the New Smyrna library reopens.

Due dates for returns have been extended to the April 11 reopening date. Items can be returned before that date to any other library branch.

For more information call the library at 386-424-2910, option 4.
