Bill Delay For Ormond Water Users Due To Michael

Ormond Beach, FL - Around 2,000 Ormond Beach water customers will get their bills a little later than usual and you can blame Hurricane Michael for that.

The major storm which carved a path of destruction through much of the Southeastern United States - especially the Florida Panhandle - also affected the Tallahassee-based company Ormond Beach uses to print and mail its water bills.

City officials tell us the vendor managed to resume its production and mailing operations today (October 15th) after being down since last Friday (October 12th).

"Impacted customers’ penalty dates have been adjusted by five days for this inconvenience," stated city spokesperson Loretta Moisio. "Due to the quick recovery of the utility bill printing vendor, the penalty adjustment will not be notated on the bills."

Some Ormond Beach water customers could see their bill come in up to three days later than normal, per Moisio.

"We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding," Moisio added.
