Volusia County, FL-Edgewater authorities say the Volusia County Medical Examiner's Office has been unable to identify human remains found there August 9th.
The ME was unable to determine race, sex, or manner of death. The use of dental records was also unsuccessful.
The body will be examined by Anthropologists at the University of Florida to determine identity. The case remains open.
The remains were found in an area of Pullman Road by workers clearing land.
The final report could take up to 90 days complete.
The family of missing Edgewater teen, Ashlyn Bowman, have told media they believe the remains are hers. She was last seen June 22.
