Holly Hill, FL - Police in Holly Hill are investigating a drug deal gone bad that left a woman with a gunshot wound.
Police responded to a home on Elsie Ave. in Holly Hill at 9:08 AM on Friday morning after getting a call about a gunshot injury. When they got to the scene, they found a 32-year-old woman who said she had been shot by a black man outside of her home after a failed drug transaction. The victim told police that after she was shot she went back into her house and the suspect fled the area in a white or silver vehicle. She said he was heading north towards 6th St.
The victim's injury is considered non-life threatening and she was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The victim described the suspect as a black man between 18 and 20 years old. She said he had a short cropped Mohawk haircut and a light mustache.
Police are still investigating the incident and officials say additional information will be released when it becomes available.
