Historic Deland Home Sustains Heavy Fire Damage
Deland, FL – A historic home in Deland sustained heavy damage during a fire on Monday night.
The Deland Fire Department responded to the blaze at the Grant Bly House on New York Avenue at about 11:40 p.m. on Monday (October 1st).
The man was transported to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford. The house was under construction to be renovated for its latest incarnation as a sports bar.
Fire officials say the home was heavily damaged and they are investigating, though the fire is not considered criminal in nature.
