Daytona Beach - The sounds and sights of the Hard Rock Hotel are set to rock the beaches of Daytona late this year.

Hard Rock International officially announced Tuesday that it will build its fourth property at the oceanfront site of the newly renovated Desert Inn at 900 N. Atlantic Ave. The Desert Inn was once named one of the dirtiest hotels in the nation, but more than $40 million in renovations and the Hard Rock name behind it will bring a new vibe to the property.

The 200-room hotel is in collaboration with Summit Hospitality, the company renovating the property,  and will be managed by Hard Rock International.

Abbas Abdulhussein, managing member of the Summit Hospitality Group says, “We look forward to collaborating with Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos, a brand that fits perfectly in Daytona Beach and leads the way in the lifestyle hospitality space.”

The new Hard Rock Hotel will have 20,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, all-day dining, 24-hour in-room dining, a grab-and-go coffee shop, and a poolside bar and grill. There will also be a Body Rock Workout facility and a spa.

True to the Hard Rock Brand, music will be at the heart of the hotel, with the iconic rock-and-roll merchandise adorning the lobby. Guests can also enjoy a Sounds of Your Stay music amenity program where they can jam out with a vinyl player and records, even a Fender guitar.

Marco Roca, executive vice president of global hotel development for Hard Rock feels that this is the perfect location for the Hard Rock Brand. "From the gorgeous beaches, to the NASCAR races that draw in hundreds of thousands of people each year, we're thrilled to bring our product to visitors and locals alike in Daytona Beach," says Roca.

The deadline agreed upon with the Volusia County Council for the opening of the new Hard Rock is December 31 of this year.
