DeLand, FL - Four Orlando residents have been arrested for stealing up to 10 motorcycles from a business on South Woodland Boulevard last weekend.

The DeLand Police Department took those men - 23-year-old Jaqyoune Adams, 22-year-old Quayshaun Grace, 19-year-old Jalen Thomas and 18-year-old Bobby James - into custody soon after the break-in was reported last Saturday (March 23rd) at DeLand Motorsports.

DeLand PD spokesperson Chris Graham says police were called out by the owner after he received a real-time notification from his live security system around 3:20 that morning.

"The video showed as many as 15 suspects had broken a glass window and were loading dirt bikes onto a U-Haul truck," Graham added. "The U-Haul was found minutes later by a Volusia County deputy on State Road 472."

According to the incident report, "several black males" got out of the U-Haul soon after the Volusia County Sheriff's Office deputy spotted it, got into a silver Hyundai 4-door driving nearby and fled the scene.

A Florida Highway Patrol trooper managed to find the Hyundai heading westbound on Interstate 4 towards Orlando around 30 minutes after the business alarm went off, per Graham.

"As [the] trooper attempted to pull over the suspect vehicle, most of the suspects in the car jumped out and fled on foot but were apprehended a short time later," Graham added. "They were booked into the Seminole County Jail before being transferred to Volusia County."

Per the report, Thomas was the only one who remained in the vehicle. He admitted to authorities afterward that the Hyundai belonged to his girlfriend and that one of the other suspects had asked him to serve as a getaway driver.

Thomas also confessed to having a police scanner in the vehicle and using it to hear the trooper prepare to pull the car over, which led to the other suspects bailing out before the trooper could turn on his lights and sirens.

All four were charged with burglary. Loitering and prowling charges were tacked on to Grace, Adams and James after law enforcement found them hiding behind houses just south of where they jumped out of the Hyundai, per the report.

Police estimate damages to the motorbikes and the business at over $100,000.

DeLand PD are trying to discover the identities of the other suspects, saying they may be involved in a "larger network", according to Graham.
