Daytona Beach, FL-Retired Volusia County Sheriff's Deputy, 69-year-old Edward P. Lueck, has been sentenced to 15 years in a state prison on a charge of lewd and lascivious molestation of a child and 19 counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

Lueck entered a "no contest" plea to all of the counts on April 20.

In September 2013, Lueck was arrested on claims that he had committed unlawful sexual behavior on a 5-year-old girl. The mother of the child said that because Lueck had been a Sheriff's deputy, she trusted him.

Lueck will be placed on 25 years of sex-offender probation upon his release from prison. The fifteen-year prison sentence and subsequent probation spared the victim in this case from having to go through a traumatic trial process.

Assistant State Attorney Tammy Jaques, of the State Attorney’s Career Criminal Unit, prosecuted the case. Circuit Judge Terence R. Perkins presided over the case and pronounced sentence.
