Former Student At Warner Christian Killed In Navy Fighter Jet Crash In Key West

Key West, FL - A former student from Warner Christian Academy in South Daytona was one of two people killed Wednesday afternoon in a Navy fighter jet crash that occurred off the coast of Key West. The crash occurred around 4:30 PM Wednesday. 30-year-old Caleb King was a pilot on board the fighter jet, which went down into the water about a mile east of the runway at the naval air station where it was supposed to land. The weapons system officer was also killed in the crash. King was on the football team at Warner Christian, and he later played football at the Naval Academy. The cause of the jet's crash is still under investigation.
