Bunnell, FL – A former Flagler County soccer coach was sentenced to 20 years in prison and 15 years of sex offender probation for child molestation on Wednesday.

According to records from the Flagler County Clerk of the Circuit Court, Sean Stern was found guilty on five counts of child molestation.

Detectives first began investigating Stern after he was fired from Professional Sports Pathways, a Palm Coast soccer school. Stern was originally accused in 2016 of molesting two boys between the ages of 12 and 16 on multiple occasions at multiple locations between January 2015 and April 2016. He turned himself into Flagler County authorities in December of 2016. You can find earlier reporting here and here.

On Wednesday, Judge Dennis Craig handed down Stern’s sentence at a courtroom in Bunnell. Stern will be required to register as a sex offender, and he will need to pay a wide variety of court costs and fees.
