Ormond Beach, FL-Holidays are a busy time at the Jerry Doliner Food Bank run by the Jewish Federation of Volusia and Flagler Counties in Ormond Beach and even busier with the increase in need felt after Hurricane Matthew. The Federation's Gloria Max says there are still needy families and individuals who fell behind financially due to the storm who are asking for help from the food bank and will get assistance. Max says she's looking for help stocking the food bank for the new year and seeking cash donations. The link to the Jerry Doliner Food Bank site is here. Max says she and her staff can actually buy food cheaper in bulk than individuals can, so giving money as a donation helps reach more people in need. You can donate by check to the Jewish Federation, 470 Andalusia Avenue, Ormond Beach, FL 32174. Max says help is given no matter the faith or religion of those in need.   2016 Southern Stone Communications Copyright
