Flagler and Volusia County, FL - Adventist Health System, which includes the seven Florida Hospital facilities in Volusia, Flagler, and Lake counties, has won the title of the American Hospital Association's "most wired" health system for the fifth year in a row. The results are based on a HealthCare's Most Wired survey released by the American Hospital Association’s Health Forum and published by Hospitals & Health Networks magazine. The survey examined how healthcare organizations are using internet technology to improve performance of value-based healthcare. The survey was conducted between January 15 and March 15 with nearly 700 participants representing more than 2000 hospitals in America. The survey said that "most wired" hospitals are using smart phones, telehealth, and remote monitoring to create more ways for patients to get health care services and access their medical information. These hospitals are also transforming the way they care for patients, using data and analytics and investing in analytics to support new delivery models and effective decision-making. “The most wired hospitals are using every available technology option to create more ways to reach their patients in order to provide access to care,” says Rick Pollack, American Hospital Association President and CEO. “They are transforming care delivery, investing in new delivery models in order to improve quality, provide access, and control costs.” Florida Hospital, a member of Adventist Health System, encompasses seven locations in Flagler, Volusia, and Lake counties. Florida Hospital Central Florida Division (North Region) includes Florida Hospital DeLand, Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in Orange City, Florida Hospital Flagler in Palm Coast, Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Florida Hospital Oceanside in Ormond Beach, and Florida Hospital New Smyrna. “Our organization is committed to implementing IT solutions and innovations to deliver exceptional care and quality to patients as we carry out our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ in our community,” says David Ottati, CEO for the Florida Hospital Central Florida Division (North Region).
