Flagler County, FL – Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly recently arrested a man driving recklessly on several Flagler roadways. At Around 8:30 PM on Thursday, Sheriff Staly was driving eastbound on SR-100 near Seminole Woods Blvd. Sheriff Staly noticed a silver 2-door Hyundai driving at a high speed, weaving in and out of traffic, so he began a pursuit. The driver of the Hyundai, 19-year-old David Reardon, made his way onto northbound I-95 where he was driving over 112 mph, continuously weaving through heavy traffic. Sheriff Staly conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle near mile marker 289. Reardon was subsequently arrested for reckless driving and possession of marijuana under 20 grams. According to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO), I-95 is the number 2 crash area in Flagler County. Upon his arrest, Reardon told Sheriff Staly he was speeding "to get home to let his dogs out."

“Everyone is busy and distracted with holiday shopping and our roads are extra busy this time of year," said Sheriff Staly. “Let this be a lesson. We will not allow you to endanger your life or endanger other lives by being stupid. If you do, we will find a room for you at the Green Roof Inn.”
