Flagler County, FL - A series of seminars will be held in Flagler County to help unemployed veterans land a job.

The Flagler County Veterans Services Office will host the seminars at the Emergency Operations Center on March 29, 30, and 31.

These seminars are aimed specifically at veterans looking for jobs in Central Florida.

"We get a lot of requests for help finding employment," said Sal Rutigliano, Flagler County Veterans Services Officer. "These seminars were being held regularly in South Daytona, so I asked about having them come here. We have 12,537 veterans here who could benefit from this."

The first seminar, "Creating Your Job Search Tactics and Network," will be held on March 29 and will begin at 10 AM and end at 2 PM.

The second seminar, called "Goals, Resumes and Interviewing," is on March 30 and will go from 10 AM to 2 PM.

The final seminar is called "Performance Excellence, Mock Interviews and Graduation," and it will be on March 31 from 9 AM to 2 PM.

Officials want a low number of attendees in each seminar, and the deadline for signing up is Monday, March 28 so anyone interested should sign up ASAP.

"We want these to be a typical class size so participants get individual attention," said Rutigliano. "We expect this to be successful, and then we will schedule additional seminars."

To sign up for the seminars contact Annie Artis from the Orlando VA Medical Center at 407-629-1599, ext. 28846, or email vhaorlhvces@va.gov.
