Flagler Deputies Make 2 Separate Domestic Violence Arrests In Palm Coast

Palm Coast, FL - Flagler County Sheriff's Office arrested two Palm Coast men Thursday for two separate instances of domestic violence just one day after Sheriff Rick Staly's public forum on domestic violence. The first arrest occurred Thursday morning on Coral Reef Ct. in Palm Coast after 27-year-old Joshua Keyes broke into his ex-girlfriend's home while she was sleeping. He hit her head against the floor, choked her, and held her against her will, according to deputies. Keyes was held at the Flagler County Detention Facility on charges of burglary with battery, kidnapping, and felony battery. Thursday afternoon, deputies arrested 39-year-old Jimmy Quintero on Botany Ln. in Palm Coast for an incident that took place on June 11. According to the arrest warrant, Quintero attacked his wife, and his 14-year-old son stabbed him in an effort to save her. Quintero was taken to Florida Hospital Flagler with a wound to his back. Quintero initially stated that he had fallen, but when an investigation uncovered information about the attack, domestic violence charges were submitted to the State Attorney's Office. A warrant was issued for Quintero's arrest, and he was taken into custody without incident on Thursday. "We just had the domestic violence meeting on Wednesday, and here we are with two more arrests," says Sheriff Staly. "We need a community driven solution to this epidemic."
