Palm Coast, FL- The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man suspected of defrauding a Palm Coast woman.

Investigators say that the woman wrote a check on June 16, 2018, to Yosvel Basart for $3,494.00 for cement work on her driveway. Basart said the money was a deposit for the cost of materials and cashed the check the same day.

The work had still not been done six weeks later. The victim made attempts to contact Basart but the number was disconnected. When she did finally contact him, Basart said he could not do the work due to health reasons and would return the money. That never happened,

TAG: FCSO was not able to find validity to Basart’s health claims. The victim identified him from a photo lineup. Basart has been arrested by FCSO nine times in nine years. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call FCSO at 386-313-4911, case number 18-69947.
