Flagler County Sheriff Implements District Policing Policy

Posted

Flagler County, FL - Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly has followed through on his promise to implement a District Policing policy starting June 7th.

Patrol deputies and their supervisors will be reassigned to newly designed districts instead of the seven zones they were originally assigned to.

The goal is to have deputies familiarize themselves with different parts of the county and build partnerships with the residents and businesses of each district.

Staly says, "These changes will improve the delivery of law enforcement services to the community and allow us to tailor crime fighting techniques to the needs of Flagler County."

This will allow the deputies to address public safety and quality of life issues that are unique to each district, and deputies will be held accountable for crime in their assigned districts.

Below is a map of the three new policing districts:

District 1: The beaches

District 2: The City of Palm Coast

District 3: The west side of the county, including the ranches and farms of North Daytona
