Flagler County, FL - Two Flagler County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) detectives have received the local American Legion Post's Officer of the Year Award. The American Legion was chartered by Congress in 1919 as a veteran's organization. Its mission is to mentor youth and sponsor local community programs. The Flagler County post meets at VFW post 8696 on the 2nd Monday of every month. Conrad and Glasgow received the award for their tireless efforts in the Charles Singer missing person's case in March. The case later turned into a homicide investigation and with Conrad and Glasgow's hard work, Dorothy Singer was arrested for 1st-degree murder on May 8. “Detectives Conrad and Glasgow did an outstanding job handling the Singer case this year and are deserving of this honor and recognition,” said Flagler County Sheriff, Rick Staly. “They worked tirelessly on this case and put all of their training to good use throughout the investigation. I am proud them.”
