Flagler Beach Residents Invited To Meet With Police Chief At Donut Event

Posted

Flagler Beach, FL - The Flagler Beach Police Department (FBPD) has partnered with a local Flagler Beach 7-11 store to host "Doughnuts with Doughney."

The event will happen on Monday, May 15, from 8 - 10 AM, at the 7-11 convenience store located at 408 South Oceanshore Blvd.

"Doughnuts with Doughney" is similar to "Coffee with a Cop" in that it provides the public an opportunity to meet and speak openly with Chief Doughney about issues and/or concerns in Flagler Beach.

The location of the meeting provides citizens easy access to both the 7-11 and Chief Doughney, in a relaxed, non-threatening atmosphere.

"During the first 4 months of 2017 our City has been impacted by some high-profile special events like Bike Week and Spring Break and we welcome our citizen's feedback on how these events went from their perspective," said Doughney. "Topics of discussion can range from speeding complaints to sea dune parking concerns."

"Our local 7-11 owner, Mr. Eric Cooley, continues to offer his business as a centralized meeting place where citizens can feel comfortable with their Law Enforcement Officers. The 'Donut' events are fun and interactive and I look forward to them each and every time," said Chief Doughney.
