Flagler Beach: Pier To Reopen December 15, Library To Remain Closed For Repairs

Flagler Beach, FL- The City of Flagler Beach has released an update on city structures impacted by Hurricane Irma.

According to the City, the Pier, Library, and Museum sustained extensive damages during the storm. Mott MacDonald engineers have performed several structural integrity tests on the Flagler Beach Pier after repairs from Construct Co. Inc. The City has set a tentative reopening date for the pier on Friday, December 15.

The City Library’s damaged roof has been repaired. Crews will now begin to focus on repairing the interior. A reopening date has yet to be announced and a timeframe of completion will be released as soon as the contractor’s progress has been determined.

The Flagler Beach Historical Museum, located at 207 South Central Ave., has also reopened. The museum’s hours are Monday through Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM. The bathrooms inside the museum are still closed for repairs, but there are bathrooms open from 8 AM to 5 PM nearby at the City Hall entrance.
