Flagler Beach, FL - The City of Flagler Beach has closed several Beach Access/Dune Crossover locations after they sustained damage from high tides created by the winter "Bomb Cyclone."
As of Thursday, January 4, City Staff has indicated that the following Beach Access/Dune Crossover locations are open:

City Staff reminds beachgoers to refrain from walking on or across Sea Dunes to prevent erosion. It is a violation of City Ordinance to destroy, harm, cut, harvest, or remove any plant life on the Dune areas. The City also urges the public to not attempt to use the closed Beach Access/Dune Crossover locations, which are blocked with wooden boards and marked with yellow caution tape. These locations are unstable and could potentially threaten public safety if utilized. Those planning on walking on the beach are asked to use caution and to look out for debris. The City plans to host a Beach Cleanup in the coming weeks. These cleanups will be similar to those that occurred after Hurricane Matthew and dates and times will be announced soon. In the next two weeks, the City will perform inspections on Beach Access/Dune Crossover and will provide the public with repair schedules for the closed locations.
