Ormond Beach, FL - A fundraising effort to raise money for a cure for cancer includes buzzing heads, according to Ormond Beach Firefighters Charities President Carrie Davis. Fired Up for a Cure benefits "Light the Way" and takes place at the Men's Refinery on Granada Boulevard between the waterway bridge and Halifax Drive on Sunday, October 7th at 4 p.m.
Davis said law enforcement and firefighters from Ormond Beach, Port Orange, Daytona Beach, and Volusia County are on the schedule to get their heads buzzed. For a donation, members of the public can get buzzed and females that want to show their support can get a strand of hair colored.
The event features entertainment, food, drinks, and Davis said, "yes, there will be beer." She also said that 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to "Light the Way."
