Fire Crews Save New Smyrna House From Burning

New Smyrna Beach, FL-Fire officials in New Smyrna Beach say quick action early today stopped a garage fire from spreading to a home there. Firefighters arrived at the home at 533 Ball Street just after 1 AM and found the detached garage fully involved in fire. Two people were evacuated from the home and were not hurt. The fire was brought under control in four minutes and kept from spreading. Damage is estimated at $20,000. Crews from New Smyrna Beach Fire, Edgewater Fire and County Fire with County Emergency Medical Services all responded. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
