Seville, FL - Troopers are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash in a rural part of northwest Volusia County near the Flagler County line.

58-year-old Raymond Tange - a Georgetown resident - died at the scene just before 3 p.m. yesterday (February 23rd) near the corner of County Road 305/Bunnell Road and McGlon Road in Seville.

The Florida Highway Patrol says Tange was speeding west on CR 305 atop a 2017 Suzuki when it hit a trailer head on, throwing Tange off the motorcycle.

Troopers say that trailer was attached to the back of a 2018 Chevy truck driven by 84-year-old Albert Baylor of Bunnell. Baylor was turning into a private driveway from the eastbound lanes of 305 at the time Tange hit the trailer, per the accident report.

Baylor suffered minor injuries but was not taken from the scene by paramedics, according to FHP.

The report noted that Baylor was wearing a seat belt and Tange was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. It also noted that Baylor was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

An autopsy is pending to determine if alcohol or drugs were a factor for Tange.
