Flagler County, FL - 2 men were seriously injured in Flagler County Saturday afternoon, March 18, when their motorcycles collided.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), Keith Mercer, 41, Jacksonville, FL,  was driving a 2010 Harley-Davidson motorcycle and Sebastian Bond, 36, Austell, FL, was driving a 2013 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, both southbound on I-95.

The FHP reports, Mercer and Bond were amongst a large group of motorcycles in the area of mile marker 285 when an unknown vehicle further south of them lost control.

Mercer and Bond attempted to avoid collision with other vehicles and as a result they collided with each other and proceeded to overturn their motorcycles. Both drivers were ejected from their vehicles and onto the roadway.

The inside and center lanes of I-95 southbound were closed due to the crash and were reopened just before 4 PM on Saturday. I-95 sustained traffic delays in both directions. The FHP was assisted by Flagler County Sheriff's Office and Fire Police with the lane closures.

Both drivers were transported to Halifax Hospital for serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
