Daytona Beach, FL - Sales for single-family homes in the greater Daytona area ticked up slightly in February, and sales prices for those homes jumped up 15% compared to the same month last year, according to The Wyse Report from Wyse Home Realty.
“After a lackluster beginning to the year, it’s great to see home sales picking up some speed,” realtor Ron Wysocarski, Broker and CEO of Wyse Home Team Realty in Port Orange, FL says. “We’re expecting a busy Spring home sales season.”
Data from the Daytona Beach Multiple Listing Service (MLS), provided by the Wyse Report, shows there were 342 existing, detached single-family homes sold in the greater Daytona Beach area in February with a median home sales price of $230,000. In month-over-month comparisons, prices were up 7.3%, and sales were up by more than 18.7%. You can find the MLS data, provided by The Wyse Report, below:
- Feb. 2018: 342 sales, $230,000 median sales price.
- Feb. 2017: 339 sales, $200,000 median sales price.
- Jan. 2018: 288 sales, $214,250 median sales price.
- Jan. 2017: 311 sales, $200,000 median sales price.
Inventory levels for single family homes in Daytona are also on the rise. Inventory levels rose 5% in February of this year when compared to February 2017. “It’s great to see inventory levels continue to rise,” Wysocarski says. “Buyers have a few more homes to choose from now, and the pent-up demand is helping sellers continue to reap the benefits of a quick sale at top dollar.”
