FDOT Warns Drivers Of Detours In DeLand Around S.R. 44

DeLand, FL - The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is alerting drivers in the DeLand area to be aware of detours this weekend, beginning Friday, April 6. The detours are expected on State Rd. 44 (New York Ave.) from Friday, April 6 to Monday, April 9 near the intersection of State Rd. 44 and Stone St., west of Woodland Blvd. in order to accommodate concrete slab replacement. Drivers on westbound State Rd. 44 will be directed around the road work area by way of Orange Ave., Rich Ave., and High St. FDOT says eastbound State Rd. 44 traffic will be directed to use High St., Howry Ave., and Orange Ave. as a detour.

Access to businesses and residences will still be available. FDOT will be repairing and replacing areas of concrete along State Rd. 44 between Boundary Ave. and Hill Ave. Construction schedules may change due to weather or other circumstances.
