FDOT: US 17/92 Anticipated To Reopen Today

DeBary, FL - The damaged part of US 17/92 is expected to reopen today after having been closed almost a month.

All northbound lanes of the road by Hollow Pine Drive were originally closed back in August when a depression in the road began to form, leading authorities to believe a sinkhole was forming.

Yesterday (September 13th), the Florida Department of Transportation announced that one lane of northbound US 17/92 was reopened, and later would announce that all lanes are expected to reopen today (September 14th).

The right lane is said to open as soon as the repairs on the road are wrapped up. They say motorists can expect travel delays until the road is fully reopened again.
