Flagler County, FL - Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranches recently received a $9,000 check from the Flagler County Sheriff's Office (FCSO).

When Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly took office at the beginning of the year, he proposed to employees that if they chose to donate each pay period, they could choose to have a goatee or dress down on Fridays. The $9,081 check to comes from donations from FCSO employees from the period of January through June.

The Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranches program has provided support and care to troubled youth since 1957 when it was created by a group of Florida sheriffs. The program is now supported by the Florida Sheriff's Association (FSA). Sheriff Staly serves on the Board of Directors for the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches.

“I’m proud to present this check to such a wonderful organization,” says Sheriff Staly. “And I’m thankful to my employees for partnering with me in support of the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches.”
