FCSO Seeks New Leads On Anniversary Of Bunnell Man's Disappearance

blue puzzle missing Flagler County, FL-This week marks the one-year anniversary of the disappearance of a Bunnell man and authorities continue to push for information to solve his case. 58-year-old George Contos, also known as "Uncle Waldo", is a diabetic who had his left leg amputated. He wears a prosthetic. Deputies say Contos was last seen by his family on May 7, 2015. He was reportedly seen in the "F" section of Palm Coast on May 9. Then no reports. On May 20, his white Lincoln Town car was found in the parking lot of the Ace Hardware store on Palm Coast Parkway. Details of the investigation into the disappearance led investigators to conclude it was "suspicious" and offer rewards for information leading to an arrest in the case. “We believe strongly that someone in our community knows what happened to George Contos and hope the up to $10,000 reward will be useful in obtaining information. If it takes money to solve this case, we are prepared to pay for information,” said Flagler County Sheriff James L. Manfre.
