Palm Coast, FL - Flagler County deputies are investigating after a woman was found shot in a Palm Coast home.
The Flagler County Sheriff's Office says deputies and medical personnel responded to a home off of Farragut Drive around nine o'clock last night (May 25th) after getting a call about a woman who had shot herself, but was still alive.
The woman, who has not been identified by law enforcement, was transported to a trauma hospital where she eventually succumbed to her injuries.
The FCSO Investigative Services Division is now conducting a death investigation to have a thorough understanding of the incident.
A standard procedue, according to Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly.
“All deaths are investigated to ensure that nothing criminal may have occurred,” Sheriff Staly said. “While there will continue to be law enforcement presence in the area for the investigation, I want the community to know that there is no threat or cause for concern.”
No other information is available at this time as FCSO continues to investigate the incident.
