FCSO Deputies Arrest Two Central Florida Fugitives After Traffic Stop In Palm Coast

Flagler County, FL – The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) has arrested two known fugitives after a Friday traffic stop in Palm Coast. On Friday at around 3 AM, FCSO deputies pulled over a suspicious vehicle to the Kangaroo gas station near SR 100 and I-95. The vehicle then fled and ultimately crashed into the trees off SR 100 and Bulldog Drive. Deputies were able to take one male into custody immediately as another fled the scene. A woman was also at the scene, but she remained in the vehicle. The man deputies took into custody refused to give his name. Deputies were able to identify him as 21-year-old De’L Jackson after using the jail’s Rapid ID system. According to the FCSO, Jackson had two active arrest warrants from Osceola County and Orange County. Those warrants requested Jackson’s arrest for violating his probation for burglary. Deputies describe Jackson as “a violent felony offender of special concern.” Jackson was on probation for burglary and had a curfew of 10 PM to 6 AM. He now faces charges of felony violation of probation and resisting arrest without violence. Cocaine, narcotic pills, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia was found in the vehicle after a search. That search also uncovered a firearm with ten rounds, one being in the chamber. Corporal Fred Gimbel and his K-9, Marko, found the suspect who fled in a tree. Deputies identified him as 24-year-old De Andre Jackson, the driver of the vehicle, and a convicted felon. His charges now include:
  • fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement
  • trafficking in crack cocaine
  • possession of oxycodone
  • possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
  • possession of ammunition by a convicted felon
  • possession of marijuana under 20 grams
  • possession of drug paraphernalia
  • leaving the scene of a crash
  • driving with a suspended driver’s license
“This was great police work by our patrol deputies and they potentially stopped serious crimes before they were committed today,” said Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly. “These were dirtbags dealing poison from Orlando in our community. Our detectives are researching their history to see if they could be connected to any past ‘felony lane’ type crimes in Flagler County. Now they are booked into the Green Roof Inn where they belong.” Both men remain at the Flagler County Detention Facility without bond.
