Palm Coast, FL - The Flagler County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) arrested the man they say robbed another man at gunpoint in Palm Coast on Tuesday night. FCSO says that the victim, Justin Dawson, told deputies he was sitting in his truck at 20 Armand Beach Dr. in Palm Coast, smoking marijuana, when a man with a gun approached him. The two men struggled over the weapon, and the gun did fire a shot. Neither man was injured. The suspect demanded that Dawson hand over anything of value, and Dawson gave the man his smoking pipe and cell phone. The suspect gave Dawson back his cell phone but fled with the pipe. Dawson was able to give deputies a clear description of the suspect, and officials recovered a 9mm bullet from the scene.

On Wednesday, Dawson was driving around looking for the man who robbed him, and he found a man who matched the description at a local gas station. Dawson confronted the man, but the suspect fled. Deputies were later able to track down the suspect, 26-year-old Cody Wilson, Wednesday night at a tent in the woods on North Oceanshore Blvd., where Wilson lived with his girlfriend. FCSO says detectives searched the tent and surrounding area. They found 9mm rounds in a box and a glass pipe matching the description of the one that was stolen. Detectives also found a brown canvas satchel with a 9mm semiautomatic firearm with a round in the chamber. Wilson has a prior felony conviction out of Mississippi, and he was arrested on Wednesday for robbery with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Wilson was held at the Flagler County Detention Facility without bond.
