Father Lopez Catholic High School Student Charged With Felony For School Threat

Daytona Beach, FL - An 18-year-old student at Father Lopez Catholic High School in Daytona Beach was arrested on Friday morning after he allegedly told a friend that he was going to "shoot up the school." Daytona Beach Police say that the 18-year-old told a friend on Wednesday that he was going to "shoot up" the private Catholic school. The friend relayed that information to school officials on Friday, and police were called to the school, located at 3918 LPGA Blvd., to investigate. The student was questioned by investigators and was charged with a felony and two misdemeanors. He was taken to the Volusia County Branch Jail.
