Holly Hill, FL - A father is behind bars after his "lesson" about the dangers of fire.
According to Holly Hill police, 26-year-old Jesse Colaw was arrested and booked into Volusia County Jail on Tuesday (January 8th) after his 4-year-old son showed up to school with a fresh burn wound on his hand on Monday (January 7th).
The report says it all began when his mother and father found a burn mark on her son's door, which led them to teach him about the dangers of fire.
The narrative says that not long after she left the room she heard her son begin to scream and cry. That's where she found that Colaw had burned him on his right hand.
Colaw was arrested and charged with aggravated battery on a child with his bond set at $5,000.
Colaw has been booked and processed at Volusia County Jail another 10 times prior since 2014.
