Daytona Beach, FL - Biketoberfest is set to kickoff on Thursday, October 13, despite damage done by Hurricane Matthew.

Organizers of the 24th annual event made the announcement on Monday that Biketoberfest, scheduled for Oct. 13 - 16, would proceed as planned.

Post Matthew clean up is well underway and hotels, restaurants, and event venues are working tirelessly to get ready for the event. Venues like Riverfront Park in downtown Daytona Beach and Main Street have already reported that vendors are setting up.

Visitors are being encouraged to contact their hotels directly by email and phone to confirm their reservation status.

“We are in the process of contacting all of our tourism partners to determine their status,” said Lori Campbell Baker, Daytona Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau Executive Director. “In addition to contacting their hotels directly to confirm reservations, visitors are encouraged to go to Biketoberfest.org and DaytonaBeach.com for more updates.”
