Daytona Beach, FL – The first flex-lease business tenant in the John Mica Engineering and Aerospace Innovation Complex (MicaPlex) in Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Research Park makes a promise to hire local professionals.

Aerial Applications, a drone-mapping company, is posting job opportunities which they hope to fulfill with skilled computer science engineers and marketing engineers from Volusia County within the next year. The company provides drone technology, solutions and data to a variety of clients such as Comcast.

"We are delighted to be among the first class of companies chosen for the MicaPlex. It is an exciting opportunity to leverage the talent and expertise of Embry-Riddle, while also creating high-value jobs in the local area,” says Joe Sullivan, the CEO and founder of Aerial Applications. “The experience that our team has gained as students of Embry-Riddle is invaluable.”

As a tenant at the MicaPlex, Aerial Applications as well as other future tenants will have Embry-Riddle resources at their disposal, such as labs and faculty and will work together to create a community of research and business.

“With Aerial Applications, we immediately recognized and appreciated that they are as committed as we are to bringing quality job opportunities to Volusia County,” says Embry-Riddle Administration and Planning Senior Vice President, Rodney Cruise. “Aerial Applications represents a physical first as a tenant in the flex-lease space, but it is also the next step in solidifying Embry-Riddle’s Research Park as the home for future innovative and economic growth.”
