Edgewater 6-Year-Old Recognized For Calling 911 For Sick Mom

Edgewater, FL-A 6-year-old girl who called 911 when her mother had a medical emergency this week will be honored at a City Council meeting January 6, 2017.

Lila Wagner remained calm during the call and was able to give dispatchers the information they needed to reach her mother in time to help.

Today Lila and her twin brother, Ty, went to Fire Station 55 and were met by police officers and firefighters who thanked her for her bravery. Santa made an appearance with presents and a new bike for each child.

Police Chief David Arcieri presented Lila with a Citizen Commendation.
