$3.2 Million Dunlawton Bridge Facelift Underway

Port Orange, FL - Port Orange's main connector between beachside and mainland is about to get a remodel.

The Florida Department of Transportation will begin a $3.2 million facelift of the Dunlawton Avenue Bridge Monday morning.

Workers will clean and paint the steel surfaces of Dunlawton Bridge between Causeway Park and Down Under. Four piers nearby will also get similar work done to its steel bearings.

Expect the occasional traffic closure of the outer eastbound lane of the bridge until the project wraps up next spring.

Traffic in and out of Causeway Park, Sea Bird Island and businesses around the area shouldn't be affected, nor will any of the pedestrian pathways on the bridge or any westbound lanes, per FDOT.
