New Smyrna Beach, FL – Job seekers are invited to Daytona State College’s October Job Fair tomorrow at the New Smyrna Beach campus. The campus is located at 940 Tenth Street and the Job Fair runs from 9 a.m. until noon in the Academic Hall. DSC Director of Career Services Dean Howe said that the job fair is an opportunity for the school to partner with local businesses to support their employment needs and to support DSC students and everyone in the community in their job search.
More than 25 employers will be ready to talk to prospective employees about the possibility of employment. The businesses include Volusia County Schools, the city of New Smyrna Beach, Walgreens, National Broadband, Dougherty Manufacturing to just name a few. Howe said that the employers at the job fair provide a cross-section of industries and it is open to everyone.
Howe reminds would-be job-seekers to come prepared as if they were going on an interview because that’s what the job fair is. Having a resume and dressing professionally are both very important.
