29-Year-Old Driver Killed In Fatal Single-Vehicle Wreck In New Smyrna Beach

New Smyrna Beach, FLUpdate: The Florida Highway Patrol has identified the deceased in Sunday night's fatal single-vehicle wreck in New Smyrna Beach as Ryan Michelbrink, 29, of Jupiter.

A 29-year-old man from Jupiter was killed on Sunday night in a fatal single-vehicle wreck in New Smyrna Beach.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was driving southbound on Williams Rd. in a 2004 Mercedes SUV. It was around 6:25 PM when, for an unknown reason, the driver failed to stop at Pioneer Trl., traveled off the roadway, and crashed into a tree.

FHP says the man was wearing a seatbelt, but it's not known at this point if alcohol played a factor. The crash is still under investigation.

The identity of the deceased won't be released until his next of kin have been notified.
