phelps Flagler County, FL - A dog rescued from the Intracoastal Waterway a couple of weeks ago found a new home over the holiday weekend. The dog named 'Phelps,' after Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps, was rescued by FCSO's Sgt. Phil Reynolds and some Palm Coast animal control officers after he was spotted stranded on some rocks, exhausted from swimming. "All 4 of his paws were cut from injuries he suffered from being on the rocks," said Laura Williams, Public Information Officer with FCSO. Phelps was never claimed by anyone, so he was brought to the Flagler Humane Society. He was there for around a week before someone came in and adopted him. 15095083_695084537333081_2652421969845006996_n
