DIS Secures Two Race Title Sponsors For Speedweeks

Daytona Beach, FL - With less than two weeks to go before Speedweeks, Daytona International Speedway notches two title sponsors for some of its biggest races during that stretch.

Gander RV - a subsidiary of Camping World Holdings - will have top billing for the 150-mile Duel races, the ones which traditionally set the starting field for the Daytona 500. It will now be known as the Gander RV Duel At Daytona.

The NASCAR Racing Experience also inked a deal to serve as the title sponsor for the Xfinity Series season opener at DIS. It will now be known as the NASCAR Racing Experience 300.

The full terms of both deals were not disclosed by DIS, but Speedway President Chip Wile did say that Gander RV and its sister companies - Camping World and Good Sam - will host various recreational vehicle events for customers at DIS as part of the agreement. That includes an “RV Rally” in 2020.

“Our fans have always loved the grassroots-type of appeal the qualifiers offer,” Wile added. “We are now proud to grow that tradition with a new sponsor and race title.”

Marcus Lemonis - the Chief Executive Officer of Camping World Holdings - says it makes sense for his company to join marketing forces with DIS.

“Both Gander RV and NASCAR brands touch outdoor fans across the country,” Lemonis noted. “The partnership is a perfect fit.”

Gander Outdoors will also sponsor NASCAR’s truck series, which will now be known as the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series.

The NASCAR Racing Experience contract is a multi-year deal which will give guests the chance for more rides during Speedweeks, according to NASCAR Racing Experience CEO Robert Lutz.

“NASCAR Racing Experience offers race fans, thrill seekers and corporate clients the opportunity to get behind the wheel of an authentic NASCAR race car on the country’s premier speedways,” Lutz added.

Those rides will be offered starting February 11th and end on the 15th, the day after the Duels.

AdventHealth - which was Florida Hospital until its name change at the beginning of this year - is the presenting sponsor for Speedweeks.
