Ormond Beach, FL-In spite of a Rio Olympics scandal over a robbery at gunpoint Brazil authorities say never happened, U.S. swimmer Ryan Lochte is still set to headline a YMCA fundraising event in Ormond Beach next month.
The event at the YMCA pits Lochte against local Charlie Lydecker in a swim to raise money for charity. Lydecker is a seven-time National Lifeguard Champion.
The event is scheduled for September 28 and is being put on by the Volusia-Flagler YMCA.
Lochte is a Port Orange native. Lochte has lost a laundry list of high-profile sponsors since the revelation about what did and didn't happen in Rio.
