Deltona Man Carjacked At Gunpoint In Front Of His Own Home

Deltona, FL - The Volusia County Sheriff's Office says they're searching for the suspect who carjacked a Deltona man at gunpoint in front of his own home.

Detectives were called to the victim's Deltona home on Saturday, January 27, at 3:04 PM, where he reported that his 2016 red Corvette was carjacked by an armed suspect. According to the victim, he went to a Hospice thrift store in Orange City and when he came back to his home at 1324 Star Court he was confronted by the suspect, who pointed a gun to his head and demanded the car keys.

Deputies found the stolen vehicle a short time later at an apartment complex at 909 Enterprise Cove Ave. in Orange City, about a half-mile from the thrift store. Crime Scene detectives processed the vehicle, which has since been returned to the victim.

The armed suspect has been described as a thin black man, about 6 feet tall, weighing 130-140 pounds, who was wearing a black hoodie and black pants at the time of the carjacking.
