Orange City, FL – A Deltona man is behind bars for stabbing someone during an armed robbery in a Orange City apartment complex.

Police were called to the Grandville on Saxon apartments at 723 Morrissey Dr early Monday morning in reference to an armed robbery with injuries. When officers arrived on scene the found the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was able to give a description of the suspect and his vehicle before being brought to the hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

It wasn’t much later when Volusia County Sheriff’s Office deputies spotted the suspect’s vehicle in Deltona and tried to do a traffic stop. The suspect fled from the deputies and eventually crashed at the intersection of Lake Helen Osteen Rd and Catalina. 54-year-old Danny Bryant was taken into custody and then brought to the hospital for the minor injuries he suffered during the crash.

The incident is still under investigation by the OCPD. Anyone with relevant information should contact Detective Ken Jones at 386-775-5478.
